A rugged classic family cruiser from the 1970's in need of TLC! Macwesters always had the reputation of being built like 'brick outhouses' although with a better sailing performance than the aforementioned. This example is complete with everything needed for coastal sailing and we are told that it all works, however, a new owner must be prepared for a spot of sleeves rolled up tinkering and would no doubt wish to add some new gear. In view of her being in need of some care and attention cosmetically she is offered for sale at a bargain price and all proceeds will go to Sail4Cancer Charity. The... read more

The old saying "if it looks like a duck and quacks, is probably a duck" applies to this boat. It looks right. The Orkney 24 just has that air about it (even when sat in the yard) that says, "I will look after you in a blow". I would summarise her by saying she is a great, solid sea boat which does everything well for her size. By that I mean, she can take you fishing, cruising, day-tripping, drop anchor picnicking etc etc. This particular example is lightly used, but fastidiously maintained, well found and clean. her owner is a very competent boater. She is serviced, polished, copper bottomed ... read more

The Westerly Centaur should need no introduction, she was the most popular boat of her generation with 2,500 vessels being built. She is a robust 26 ft. cruising boat with bilge keels, which gives her the benefit of drying out on sandy beaches or drying moorings. With her shallow draft she can explore places other boats can t reach. She has 3 berths in the main saloon with a double berth forward. The boat is in need of a good clean and polish. The head linings have dropped in the saloon and need replacement in the forward cabin. However she was re-engined with a 21 HP Nanni in 2004. These bo... read more

The Scandinavians make interesting, well constructed boats. designed to be used more like cars to go between the islands (Stockholm for example) on the school run, shopping and going to work etc. This perceived usage gives rise to some of the design features not found on other European boats. A walk through front door for bow area access and getting on and off at the bow is an example. The fully enclosed wheelhouse to protect against all weathers is another. With comfortable internal seating, a heads, good all-round visibility and well mannered sea keeping adding to the appeal. This particular... read more

We have seen many Moody 31 MKll's over the years, this one certainly stands out with the exceptional condition of the interior. It has been well cared for by a competent owner. She is clean, dry, no stains, no damp, no fade etc etc. A very pleasant interior with a warm and homely feel. The engine is original and as can be seen in the pictures, has been wax oiled and well cared for the same as the rest of the boat. The exterior could do with a some new stickers, but other than that the gel coat and non-slip deck are in good condition. On the whole, an honest and well found version of a popular ... read more

'Traditional rugged simplicity' is the phrase that sprang to my mind when asked to describe this rather unique yacht. Not that 'character gaffers' are at all unique these days; the popularity of Drascombes, Shrimpers, Crabbers et al testify to their long standing popularity but this one is just a little bit different. Moulded by a Cornish fishing boat builder and fitted out by Newlyn fisherman turned boat builder Nick Henshall, she shares many attributes of an inshore fishing boat - heavy displacement, flush decks and deep draught to pick on just three. Measuring just over 19' on deck, with he... read more

This 80ft steel passenger boat is currently in use as a tourist boat during the day and in the evening as a party boat. She operates on inland waterways as well as coastal waters. She was the first one of 3 vessels built with Schottel Azipods which are propellors which rotate 360 vertically, which makes her very easy to manoeuvre and hold position at piers and moorings. The propulsion units were completely overhauled at a cost of 90,000 in 2015. She has been well maintained by the operator and is economical to run. Internally she has a spacious heated saloon incorporating a dance floor, bar... read more

This Italian designed yacht stands out from the rest. She has had an extensive upgrade and refurbishment by her fastidious owner. I have never seen such an immaculate engine room. She has 2 Caterpillar 3176B engines which cruise effortlessly at 20 knots and reach a top speed of 30 knots and she can deal with any adverse weather conditions that may arise. She is an exceptionally comfortable and well fitted out vessel with a master cabin, 2 double cabins, a single cabin and another cabin with bunk beds. The master cabin has a walk in wardrobe and a separate study. Both heads have showers. The ... read more

A much sought after combination of superb accommodation, sea keeping and performance; well looked after by a very experienced ex charter skipper and sea school owner (Note: this yacht has never been chartered - personal use only) and fully equipped for safe offshore cruising.
